I spent many memorable summer vacations at my grandmother's summer home in New Buffalo in the mid to late 50's to early 60's. It was at the top of a dune along with alot of other homes of various sizes. I used to walk in to town to the local 5 and 10 to buy penny candy. She eventually sold the home because of a big plan to take away all the beachfront and build a new harbor. Does anyone have any advice of books or info on New Buffalo in the 50' and 60's? Or just someone who lived or visited there during that time. I'd like to think that the house is still there. |
